The agile model goes back to the 1970s, when technology began to explode and the pace of work became exponentially faster.

In the early 2000s, a group of technologists came up with a set of values that helped to make the methodology more easily understood. They called it The Agile Manifesto.

Up until the last five or so years, agile was used almost entirely by software development teams. This is no longer the case. Teams across all kinds of organizations, including business operations and HR are discovering the value.

Over the course of our careers, we've run scrum teams, designed scalable agile processes, trained development and project managers, and brought agile product thinking to traditionally reactive teams in People and Operations.

In this workshop, you will...

  • Learn the agile manifesto and explore what it means in practical terms
  • Learn the concepts and best practices behind the agile methodology
  • Understand the reason agile is so popular
  • Learn the core processes and rituals that help teams deliver on results
  • Understand the difference between Scrum and Kanban
  • Learn and practice how to facilitate agile teams
  • Learn and practice how to run an agile team remotely
  • Examine your organizations attitude towards experimentation and failure
  • Explore how to begin introducing agile to your team / your workplace
  • Walk away with a plan of action and the confidence needed to take at least the first step
