Feedback is a critical part of our work. It is the cornerstone of setting expectations, adjusting teammates' behaviors, and helping our teams reach the next level. Sadly, we rarely get feedback on our feedback-giving skills.

In this workshop, we'll celebrate feedback as a gift and explore ways to make both the process and impact of feedback as successful as possible. We'll share our model for structuring feedback so the team can have a common language and grow together.

In particular, you will...

  • Examine the current feedback culture of your organization.
  • Define a good feedback culture and how to evolve yours.
  • Learn why feedback can feel hard and how to make it easier.
  • Learn what good feedback is and isn't.
  • Learn and practice a model for structuring and delivering feedback.
  • Understand the contextual factors to consider when delivering feedback.
  • Explore how to handle poorly constructed/delivered feedback and turn it into valuable feedback.
  • Discuss why and how to encourage more feedback.

I learned some new techniques and approaches to giving/receiving feedback, listening and defining our values.

Some of the exercises really impacted me and I feel more prepared to be successful on my team with my communication style and theirs.

Andre and Rachel were great facilitators who kept energies going high (even when we were emotionally and mentally tired). I appreciated their agnostic view points as an outsider to this company and team. I valued their experience and great communication skills which they freely gave and exemplified.

The workshop put a framework around some things I had been doing but did not know the names for. Also I think getting a common language for our company as we try and work towards improvement is really valuable - having this common training will be beneficial
