Feedback is a critical part of our work. It is the cornerstone of setting expectations, coaching teammates' behaviours, and helping our teams reach the next level.

In this interactive workshop, we transform your perspective on feedback: exploring the principles of good feedback culture, what makes it land well, and what makes it go wrong.

We draw on behavioural psychology and organisational research to make both giving and receiving feedback a more intentional and impactful experience.

We also introduce OIC, our model for structuring feedback, giving your team a common language and a repeatable approach they can use from day one.

In particular, you will...

  • Establish a clear, shared definition of what feedback is and what it isn't.
  • Apply a memorable framework for assessing the quality of any feedback you give or receive.
  • Use OIC, our model for constructing feedback, to move from vague reaction to precise, usable signal.
  • Practise giving feedback as a coach rather than a judge.
  • Understand the neurochemical reality of receiving criticism and how to work with it, not against it.
  • Learn a structured approach to receiving feedback that keeps the conversation productive.
  • Walk away with a drafted piece of real feedback, ready to deliver.

This topic pairs well with our Conflict Skills Workshop. Feedback and conflict are adjacent skills: one prevents the friction, the other navigates it when it arrives. With both completed, your team will be equipped for the full complexity of communication in the modern workplace.

I really liked this training; the frameworks discussed and the verbiage to use when doing so were all extremely helpful. I found the way that the instructors packaged this information to be far more digestible. The psychological groundwork laid at the beginning of the section was particularly insightful, helping me to understand why it can be easier or more difficult to accept feedback at times, and also what actions I can take in response.

This workshop gives you a feedback framework that you can build upon. It also talks through the emotional nature of giving and receiving feedback and its difficulty. I really liked the format of the session; it made sense how we worked through each part and how it all flowed together. I also liked when the facilitators would pose a challenging question and get different points of view, which led to thought-provoking discussions.

I found the PeopleStorming feedback framework to be incredibly insightful; it was remarkably helpful for breaking down different segments and remembering the pattern. Furthermore, I greatly valued the practical tip of naming the monster and referencing non-violent communication.
