Belonging & Inclusion
Aside from our natural desire to create deeply human workplaces, industrial psychology research has shown that a true sense of inclusion is a strong predictor of team health and success. With the contemporary emphasis on diversity and inclusion and the increasing social transparency of organizations, these ideas have never been more relevant.
We have spent over a decade bringing teams together and helping them explore what it means to have the most authentically human, playful, vulnerable and high-trust relationships they can reach for. Through practice, play, discussion and immersion, we specialize in drawing out the boldness and empathy needed for colleagues to understand what they need from each other in order to feel safe to do their best work.
In this workshop, you will…
Participate in a self-assessment to raise your awareness of your own behaviors.
Learn about the role of logical fallacies and cognitive biases and how to avoid them.
Learn how to separate individuals’ contributions from their characteristics (and some specific tools to help with that).
Explore ‘celebrating the individual’ as a framing of inclusivity.
Develop a better understanding of what belonging means at your company and what it looks/feels like.
Learn essential facilitation tools and practices for inclusive meetings and collaboration.
Learn essential applied coaching skills pertinent to helping others bring their whole selves to work.
I think that the workshop allowed the team to come closer together. It was helpful to have some "walls" come down and see each other as well meaning human beings.
I think being open and vulnerable allowed for trust and bonding that wouldn't be replicated a different way. Trusting and feeling connected with coworkers creates a unified environment, and we'll be able to care about each other more than just at a colleague level.
